Can you diagnose tongue-tie?

We can assess and signpost appropriately. We do not perform surgical procedures and will not advise against NHS or clinician guidance.

Do you work with bottle feeding?

Absolutely. We support all feeding methods and family choices.

Do you offer urgent same-day visits?

Subject to availability. For emergencies, contact NHS services (111/999).

Privacy Policy (UK GDPR)

We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We are the data controller for enquiries and clients of Mulberry Tree Infant Feeding Support.

What we collect

  • Contact details (name, email, phone), and enquiry details.
  • Appointment records and notes relevant to infant feeding support (special category health data, processed with your explicit consent).
  • Payment and invoicing information (processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card details).
  • Website usage data (only if you accept non-essential cookies; see Cookie Policy).

Lawful bases

  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a); Article 9(2)(a) for health data) for assessments and support.
  • Contract (6(1)(b)) to provide services you request.
  • Legal obligation (6(1)(c)) for record-keeping and insurance requirements.
  • Legitimate interests (6(1)(f)) for business administration and safeguarding where appropriate.

Retention

Client records are kept for 7 years after last contact (or until the child turns 25 if this is longer), in line with typical clinical guidance and insurer requirements. Enquiries not leading to care are retained for up to 12 months.

Your rights

You have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and to object. You may withdraw consent at any time. To exercise rights, email YOUR_DPO_EMAIL. If unresolved, you can complain to the ICO: ico.org.uk.

Sharing

We only share data when necessary—for example with your GP/health professionals (with consent), our insurers, cloud providers (data processing agreements in place), or as required by law. We do not sell personal data.

International transfers

Where processors store data outside the UK, we use approved safeguards (e.g., IDTA/UK Addendum to SCCs).

  • Fees are due at booking unless agreed otherwise. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee.
  • We hold appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance for UK practice.

We are committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. Concerns may be shared with appropriate authorities in line with our legal duties, even without consent where necessary to prevent harm.
